Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ZeebLearn collects, uses, protects, and shares information when students, parents, teachers, schools, and independent learners use our website, mobile app, lessons, simulations, quizzes, subscriptions, and support channels.

Information we collect

  • Account information such as name, email address, role, school affiliation, class, and login details.
  • Learning information such as lessons opened, simulations attempted, quiz answers, scores, mastery, assignments, streaks, and progress history.
  • School and parent information needed to manage classes, assignments, student access, and progress reports.
  • Payment and subscription status, including whether access is active, cancelled, expired, or managed through Apple, Google Play, or our web billing provider. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Device and technical information such as app version, device type, operating system, IP address, browser, error logs, and basic usage events that help us secure and improve the service.
  • Push notification tokens when a user chooses to enable notifications in the mobile app.

How we use information

  • To provide ZeebLearn lessons, simulations, quizzes, progress tracking, assignments, and school dashboards.
  • To sign users in, protect accounts, prevent abuse, and keep access tied to the right student, parent, teacher, or school administrator.
  • To process subscriptions, verify purchases, restore purchases, manage renewals, and provide receipts or billing support.
  • To send account, learning, security, billing, and support messages. Push notifications are only sent where a user has enabled them.
  • To understand product performance, fix bugs, improve lessons, and make ZeebLearn safer and more useful.
  • To comply with legal, tax, accounting, dispute resolution, and app marketplace requirements.

Students and children

  • ZeebLearn is built for learning, including use by students through schools, parents, and individual student accounts.
  • Where a school provides access, the school is responsible for authorising student use and managing school records. Where a parent or guardian creates or manages access, they are responsible for the child account they support.
  • We do not sell student personal information. We do not use student learning records for third-party advertising.
  • Parents, guardians, and schools may contact us to request help reviewing, correcting, exporting, or deleting a student account, subject to identity, school, legal, and record-retention requirements.

Subscriptions and app stores

  • Mobile subscriptions may be handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. Those stores process payment details under their own privacy policies and terms.
  • We receive purchase and subscription status from our billing providers so we can grant access, prevent duplicate charges, handle cancellations, and support refunds or billing issues.
  • Web payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. We receive transaction references and billing status, not full card details.

Sharing information

  • We share information with service providers that help us run ZeebLearn, such as hosting, databases, analytics, email delivery, push notifications, payments, subscriptions, security, and customer support.
  • Schools can see learning and account information for users connected to their school, such as classes, assignments, progress, and activity needed for teaching and administration.
  • Parents or guardians may see information for linked children where that relationship has been set up by the school or by ZeebLearn.
  • We may disclose information where required by law, to protect users, to prevent fraud or security harm, or as part of a business transfer involving ZeebLearn.

Data retention

  • We keep account, learning, billing, and support records for as long as needed to provide ZeebLearn, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and preserve accurate school or payment records.
  • If an account is deleted, some records may remain for a limited period in backups, audit logs, billing records, or school records where retention is required or reasonably necessary.

Security

  • We use technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encrypted transport, secure authentication, and separation of user roles.
  • No online service can guarantee perfect security. Please use a strong password, keep your login details private, and contact us quickly if you believe your account has been misused.

Your choices

  • You can update account details from your account settings or by contacting support.
  • You can turn off push notifications from the ZeebLearn app or your device settings.
  • You can manage App Store or Google Play subscriptions from your device subscription settings. Web subscriptions can be managed from the ZeebLearn billing page.
  • You may request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

International use

  • ZeebLearn is operated from Nigeria and may use service providers in other countries. By using ZeebLearn, information may be processed in Nigeria and other locations where our providers operate.

Changes to this policy

  • We may update this policy as ZeebLearn changes. If the update is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, schools, or account administrators.
